EMERGENCY: When the Person-to-Person agency is closed, we urge those who are in need to CALL 2-1-1 for counseling, domestic violence programs, emergency shelter, substance abuse, elder services, health care, home care, basic needs - food, clothing, shelter, consumer help, crisis intervention, financial assistance, family counseling, parenting programs, health insurance, disability insurance, energy assistance, legal assistance, Alzheimer's resources, HIV/AIDS testing, veterans services, suicide prevention, transportation, voting information, child care/child health. You can also contact them at www.infoline.org. Bilingual staff are available.
Clothing: Clients may use the center once every 30 days and may obtain an appointment by calling (203) 655-0048. No referral is necessary.
Food: is available in Stamford at: St. Benedict Our Lady of Montserat Church: (203) 323-7379, 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. every Saturday.
Fuel: For residents of Stamford, Darien and New Canaan: Please call our general number: (203) 655-0048 and request to speak with a caseworker.
For residents of Norwalk: Please call Christian Community Action at 899-2485, or NEON at 899-2420, or St. Vincent de Paul at 866-1644.

Food/Alimento: Food requests to Person-to-Person must come through referrals by a social worker or theough a case work office. Please call us at our general number (203) 655-0048 to request a call back from one of our case work staff who, if appropriate, will call in a food order for you. If you cannot reach us, or to go through another social services agency, please contact one of the ones listed here:
